SYNOD OF THE CISTERCIAN ORDER

The Synod of the Order is a college that is convoked so that, through the expression of several opinions, the affairs concerning the entire Order are considered and proposed for the decision of the General Chapter or, in the case of urgent matters, are decided in advance pending the decision of the next General Chapter, in accordance with these Constitutions (Constitutions of the Cistercian Order, art. 70).

The celebration of the 21st Ordinary Synod will take place at the Cistercian General House from the 25 to the 27 of September 2024. Let us prepare ourselves for this synodal meeting, invoking the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and the Saints of our Order.
