By decree of June 27, 2022, the new Cistercian Congregation of St. Gertrude the Great was established. It was the result of a long process of growing together of the four founding monasteries of St. Marienthal, St. Marienstern, Kloster Langwaden, and St. Marien zu Helfta. In March 2025, we welcomed the Abbey of Seligenthal as a fifth member to our congregation. Now we also have a website.
