Ernennung des Abtes Octavi Vilà zum Bischof von Girona

Am 29. Februar 2024 hat Papst Franziskus den Abt der Abtei Poblet, Dom Octavi Vilà Mayo, zum Bischof von Girona in Katalonien ernannt.
Seine Gemeinschaft, die Zisterzienserkongregation der Krone von Aragon und der gesamte Zisterzienserorden sind Abt Octavi dankbar für sein väterliches Wirken in seiner Abtei und in der Kongregation. Wir beten, dass der Herr, der ihn zum monastischen Leben berufen hat, ihn nun in seiner neuen Sendung im Dienst der Kirche von Girona begleite und mit reichem Segen beschenke.
