Am Ende der ordentlichen Visitation des Generalabtes in Begleitung des Paters Prokurator wählte das Kapitel des Zisterzienserklosters St. Joseph Pater Daniel Getachew Ghebremichael für eine Amtszeit von sechs Jahren zum neuen Prior. Er tritt die Nachfolge von Pater Bazezew Gizaw an, der seit 2012 Prior war und die Gemeinschaft in der Zeit der Konsolidierung ihrer Autonomie geführt hatte.
