Suppression of the Abbey of Himmerod

The chapter of the Congregation of Mehrerau voted unanimously to suppress the Abbey of Himmerod, in Germany, since the community was no longer able to carry forward its monastic and community life. Abbot John and the monks will transfer their stability into other communities of the Order. The estate will be transferred to the diocese.
