Abbatial Benediction at San Andrés de Arroyo

On March 22, 2015, during the celebration of Holy Mass, Mother María del Carmen Gordaliza, abbess of the Monastery of San Andrés de Arroyo (Palencia), received the abbatial benediction. The abbot general of the Cistercian Order, Dom Mauro-Giuseppe Lepori, presided at the Holy Mass and Dom José Alegre, the abbot of Poblet, concelebrated along with other priests. Mother Kandida Saratxaga, abbess president of the Congregation of Castiglia, also participated along with other abbesses from the congregation. We extend our congratulations to Mother María del Carmen and we ask the Lord to bless her with his gifts in her mission of service to all her sisters.
